Sold into prostitution at a very young age, Angel (Abigail Cowan) experiences the worst of life in Gold Rush-era California. Michael (Tom Lewis) is a devout farmer who, when he first glimpses Angel, is struck by divine love and will stop at nothing to win her heart. Not only must Michael convince Angel that she deserves the kind of wholesome life that he can provide, but demons from her past (both real and imagined) lurk in the shadows.
