After the murder of his wife and son by an escaped criminal named Tate (Kim Coates), Sheriff Matt Austin (Luke Perry) sets out to capture him only to find he's been hired by a greedy land baron (C. Thomas Howell) seeking to take land from a widow (Jaclyn DeSantis) and her son (Wyatt Smith).
